About

Bend of Bay is a bit of alliterative brilliance lifted from the first sentence of James Joyce’s Ulysses. (I’d wanted to call it Riverrun – the first word in Ulysses – but someone got there first.) These are the posts of Richard Tull, a pseudonym and a great character in Martin Amis’s “The Information,” with whom I identify more than I’d like.

I intend to focus these writings on matters related to finance and investing, which I’ll concede may already be exhausted in the blogosphere but is one of the few things I know much about. I’ll also occasionally take on politics (especially as they relate to the economy), wine, New York City restaurants, and the NBA.

I’d love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by.
